CHAPTER HISTORY
It all began with one...one desire so overwhleming, one vision so clearly constructed, one individual of strength and adamant determination.

Soror Theodora Holmes was that outstanding individual. As a student of UNC-Charlotte in the late 1980's she felt there was something truly missing for her campus; A sorority that exemplified true Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Soror Holmes made it possible for there to be a chapter at UNC-Charlotte by initiating into the Sigma Chapter at Livingstone College in the fall of 1989. Once she became a member of the illustrious sorority, she worked diligently to ensure that there would be a chapter at UNC-Charlotte, by making sure young women were educated on Sorority beliefs.

Upon her graduation her vision became a reality and the ExquiZZZite Upsilon Xi Chapter was founded on September 20, 1991 by five women that shared that same passion: Soror Crystal Sterling, Soror Daphne Satterwhite, Soror Ktura Rendleman, Soror Donyale Henderson, and Soror Chanda Wright. It is because of these young women and the lovely ladies that followed them that the Upsilon Xi Chapter remains as strong as it is today. We carry on our legacy with pride!
